A student must first apply to UW Oshkosh to be admitted to the Honors College. Students with a high school GPA of 3.75+ who earn a composite ACT score of 26+ will automatically receive an invitation to join the Honors College.  Also, students with a high school GPA of 3.50+ who earn a composite ACT score of 29+ will automatically receive an invitation to join the Honors College. An invitation to join the Honors College is sent to the student’s home as well as to their email, and they must confirm their acceptance by a specified date.

High school seniors who are not automatically invited to participate in Honors are welcome to apply for admission. Applications should include a letter of interest explaining one’s academic achievements and plans for graduation as well as the name and contact information of a reference. Students admitted in this way typically fall just short of the qualifications described above. For consideration, send materials to the HONORS COLLEGE at UW OSHKOSH, Attn: Dr. Laurence D.
