Fall Convocation

The Honors  Convocation is our signature annual gathering of new and returning Honors students, faculty and staff, the Honors Council, University Honors Student Association members, our many partners across campus, and Honors Alumni.

This informal celebration of each new academic year features the latest program news, upcoming events, special announcements, delicious food, and a guest speaker.

The Fall 2017 Honors Convocation will be held Tuesday, September 19, at 5:00 in Reeve Memorial Union 227AB, and our guest speaker will be Dr. John Koker, Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Please join us for Honors updates and for Dr. Koker’s keynote, “Shadows, Sticks, and Shouting: An Exploration of Creativity and Ingenuity.”

Fall 2016 Honors Convocation

We celebrated our 14th Honors Convocation–and our thirty-fifth anniversary!–on Thursday, September 29.

The thought-provoking keynote was given by Dr. Roberta Maguire, Professor and Chair, Department of English, and Oshkosh Northwestern Endowed Professor of Liberal Arts, who presented “Cultivating Curiosity: The Example of Albert Murray.”
